Cor prudentis is a grand and noble work for 15-part brass ensemble and Timpani. Mr. Lennon's work was commissioned in 1994 for the inauguration of Emory University's new president, William Chase and was premiered in the spring of 1995.

The Latin phrase is the motto of the University, which is situated in Atlanta Georgia
cor prudentis possidebit scientiam
The English translation of the title is:
"The wise heart seeks knowledge"
