Jacob Collier's simple but elegant song he originally recorded as a voice demo on his iPhone in a moment of procrastination! I wrote an arrangement of this song for my small class of mixed middle school instrumentalists to introduce them to one of my favorite artists, give my flute player and trumpet player a chance to shine, and give my strings an opportunity to work on playing harmonies in tune (with a little melody of their own). The arrangement also calls for guitar accompaniment, originally provided by one of our graduating senior guitarists. I pitched it up a half-step from the original F# Major to G Major.
Instrumentation - contact the arranger if you would like it reorchestrated for your flex ensemble
- Flute
- Trumpet (with harmon mute)
- Acoustic Guitar
- Violin 1 (divisi, with melody in 3rd position)
- Violin 2 (divisi, with lower part for a beginner)
- Cello
