Often played a number of times throughout a band’s set, it is an interactive singalong whose lyrics offer listeners a ‘toast to comfort and good cheer’.
It was written in the late 1800s by the Bremen composer Georg Kunoth, and made its debut at the Munich Oktoberfest in 1898.
