It was adopted in 1993 shortly after independence, and is officially transliterated as Eritrea, Eritrea, Eritrea in English. The hymn was written by Solomon Tsehaye Beraki, and composed by Isaac Abraham Meharezghi and Aron Tekle Tesfatsion.
