In learning how to play Latin style, it is important to understand the clave rhythm and tumbao bass line. This exercise on "Mary's Lamb" demonstrates the difference in the "Western-European" traditional way of playing with the emphasis on the 1st and 3rd beats, and the Latin mambo style where the emphasis in the bass is on the 4th beat.
