History:
"Please Please Me" was released on January 11, 1963, in the UK. It is the title track of The Beatles' debut album "Please Please Me," which was released on March 22, 1963, so it representative of the early Beatles' style. The song was recorded on Novemember 26th, 1962, at EMI Studios in London (now known as Abbey Road Studios), with the legendary producer George Martin.
"Please Please Me" was the Beatles' first song to reach number one on most UK singles charts, though it peaked at number two on the Record Retailer chart. It is often considered one the earliest examples of the "Merseybeat" sound.
