"Spanish Dance" is an catchy piece of ballet music by Tchaikovsky for his ballet The Nutcracker (Ballet), Op.71. The extroverted Trumpet solo has been given to the oboe, with the orchestral flute and clarinet parts retained in their original form, with energetic accompaniment given to the French Horn and Bassoon, much like corps de ballet, no less important than the principal or soloist dancers which are the melodic lines.
