Until relatively recently, this piece held the record for the melody with the longest run of the same note. The score is laid out as Parts 1/2 in eb, parts 3/4 in Eb part 5 in Bb and part 6 in Eb (all treble clef) Parts are supplied as follows: Part 1 in Bb/C (Treble) Part 2 in Bb/C (Treble)/C (Alto) Part 3 in F/Eb/C (Alto) Part 4 in F/Eb/C (Alto)/C (Bass) Part 5 in Bb/C (Bass) Part 6 in Eb/C (Bass) Timpani At nearly 7 1/2 minutes long, it is quite a lengthy piece, but is relatively undemanding on the lip.
