Repeats and cuts were added to these arrangements, to time the procession of the Maids/Ushers and the Bride's procession. The Trumpet Voluntary, as many other Baroque works, was used for royal processions. As this usually means a slow tempo, ornaments were added to keep the music interesting and a sense of movement. The trumpet soloist can add whatever he chooses or follow the indications already written. There is a light section where it is only the trumpet and the Tuba, this section is suitable to be used at the entrance of the Ring Bearer and Flower Girl.
